We are extremely honoured and grateful to welcome world-renowned pianist Khatia Buniatishvili for an exceptional concert in front of 386 spectators at the Caux Palace on Saturday 25 May, 2024 at 19:00 CEST. The funds raised will support the programme Arts and Peace Encounters to promote culture in the service of peace developed by the Caux Initiatives of Change Foundation.

The Piano Virtuoso

Through her remarkable artistic skill and emotional expression, Khatia Buniatishvili stands out as one of the most renowned classical pianists of recent years. From New York to Hong Kong, via London, Paris and Hamburg, she performs on the most prestigious international stages. Her willingness to embrace various music genres enables her to connect with a wide-ranging audience, transcending generations and extending far beyond the realm of classical music. Among her many highlights is her appearance on Coldplay's "Kaleidoscope" (2015).

Khatia Buniatishvili will be performing classical pieces from her repertoire in the Caux Palace theatre. Perched on the mountainside above Montreux, with a breathtaking view of the Léman, this historic Belle Epoque landmark houses a little gem of a venue: 386 seats on a slight incline for a perfect view of the stage.

Culture as a vector for peace

Through this performance, Khatia lends her support to the humanitarian values and projects of the Caux Initiatives of Change Foundation, in particular its new programme Arts and Peace Encounters. As we witness an escalation in conflicts around the world, this program aims to promote sustainable awareness for the potential of art in conflict prevention, and the reconciliation of fractured communities. By fostering exchanges with dedicated artists, facilitating shared experiences, and promoting artistic exploration, the Foundation is cultivating a network of specialists to bolster the influence of culture and art in upholding human rights.

Partnership with the Montreux Cultural Season

The Caux Initiatives of Change Foundation is delighted to be able to count on the Saison culturelle de Montreux. A true partner of the foundation, the Saison culturelle provides its expertise and resources to support the organisation of the evening. Supporting charitable causes is also one of the Saison's missions. This new collaboration, which comes on top of the Emergences Musicales series, also reinforces the desire of both institutions to work together towards a local cultural policy.
