Pinaki Dasgupta
Pinaki Dasgupta is currently pursuing his PhD at CRDT IIT Delhi, serves as a General Manager in CP Consultants and is Secretary to Shristi, a NGO working on connecting science and arts for community building. He is also the Coordinator of The Bhumi Project in India. He has a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering and Masters in Energy Management. He is a board member of the Indian Youth Climate Network.
Pinaki is a certified environmental, safety and risk management expert with 18 years of experience in both voluntary and industrial consultancy. His research areas are sustainability, water conservation, innovations, creativity and waste management. He is the Co-Chair of Global Collaborations and State Chapters of ASSOCHAM’s Green and Ecofriendly Movement (GEM). Pinaki has delivered more than 150 training programmes on emergency preparedness, industrial safety in MSMEs and large industries. He is based in Delhi and his interests include fostering dialogue and exploring collaboration between academic, scientific, cultural and faith communities on sustainability, resource conservation and ecosystem restoration. He has worked on more than 250 multisector assignments in sustainability, environmental management and scaling up of innovations. UNEP recently published his article on Hinduism and Ecology.
