Bilal Khan

Bilal Khan, 28, is a housing rights activist based in Mumbai, where half the population lives in slums. During six years of activism and working with communities, he has focused on housing, basic amenities and rehabilitation of slum dwellers. He fights cases in the Human Rights Commission, organizes communities to demand their rights and has been part of fact-finding teams on various human rights issues in Mumbai and other parts of India.
