Online Workshop: Digital Soft Skills
17:00 - 18:00 CET
Digital skills include not only "digital hard skills" such as coding but also "digital soft skills", i.e. how we behave online and how we integrate digital technology into our personal, professional and civic lives.
In this online workshop, Initiatives of Change Switzerland invites participants to reflect on the relationship between their personal values and their use of technology, and to exchange views on how to adapt their own behavior if necessary.
The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the global digitization process. While digital technologies offer fantastic opportunities to continue many aspects of our lives online, this acceleration also means that many of us are spending increasingly more time in the digital world. Our smartphones in particular offer endless possibilities to manage our lives and be connected to the world. However, digital life should not have a negative impact on our real life. Constant online presence and multitasking can lead to a lack of concentration and focus, digital addiction or increased social isolation.
To answer the question "What digital future do we want?" it helps to pause and ask ourselves what we value in life and how digitization can promote these values.
This event is organized by IofC Switzerland for the Swiss Digital Days 2020.
